TriMax Athlete Dan Belmonte Drops 19 minutes in Half Marathon PR
February 2, 2010
TriMax veteran Dan Belmonte raced to a 1:40:16 half marathon finish at the Central Park half marathon last weekend. This result marks a dramatic drop from his previous best and sets up his 2010 race season perfectly as he trains toward the REV3 and Timberman half iron distance races.
What is even more noteworthy is that Belmonte has been averaging less than 5 miles of running per week.
Only a year ago, Belmonte found himself tipping the scales at over 210 lbs and woefully out of shape. In working with TriMax since then, Dan has raced to 2 half iron distance finishes and lost over 40 lbs. Great work, Dan! Keep it up!

TriMax Founder, Max Wunderle, Gains Additional CrossFit Run And Endurance Certification
April 05, 2009
TriMax Fitness founder Max Wunderle earned his second CrossFit certification in the fields of running and endurance training. The CrossFit Run Endurance Certification was developed to allow CrossFit Athletes to still CrossFit and compete in endurance sports and bring a standard to running. It brings to light the reality of long, slow, distance/oxidative training and why it is ineffective and extremely unhealthy. It gives you the ability to understand training endurance athletes and how to make strength and conditioning a major part of the program and not a supplement.

TriMax Founder Gains CrossFit Level I Trainer Certification
March 08, 2009
TriMax founder Max Wunderle recently became certifed as a level 1 CrossFit certified trainer. Wunderle is now certified to train individuals on the concepts of the CrossFit training methodology in addition to his previous experience in the world of endurance sports.
CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide. This program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist.
The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. CrossFit has executed the same fitness routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. CrossFit scales load and intensity; but doesn not change programs.
Contact Max at info@gotrimax.com to learn more about integrating these philosophies into your training.
